Father Daughter Dance

Saturday night, Chloe and Raita got all dressed up in Hawaiian garb and headed out to the dance.

They had snowcones, danced and Chloe won the limbo contest! She really can go low!

Check out this photo, they look like they had tons of fun.

Carnival

The kids' school had a super fun Carnival last week. They played tons of little games, rode on many an inflated slide, ate hot dogs and they even sat on a fire truck.

I was shocked to see how much fun Jonah and his friends were having dancing to Camp Rock! I think they were surprised about that fact too.

By the end of the night, it was all Freya could do to keep her head up.

Easter Finally!

Mom and Drew were here for a visit during Easter. My camera was hiding during most of the visit.

Here are a few pics from the actual Easter event. Chocolate bunnies, Suki stealing the empty peep box and the inevitable sugar high face.

Bluebonnets

It is the Texas thing to do to get your little one's picture taken among the Bluebonnets.
This lovely flower is the Texas state flower and is actually against the law to pick them. I guess that if you pick them or mow them, they will not regrow the following year. A few of our neighbors will not mow their lawn until after the Bonnets have run their course.

There are frequent posts on email lists and such, asking where the best patch of Blue bonnets can be found. Here is a great article about why the Texan's love them some Bluebonnets. Taken from the article: Perhaps historian Jack Maguire explains it best. He once wrote: "The bluebonnet is to Texas what the shamrock is to Ireland, the cherry blossom to Japan, the lily to France, the rose to England and the tulip to Holland."

Farm Animals Bite

We went to this super cute and sweet farm in our neighborhood.

Freya loved the animals, she was even able to mount the pony on her own! Even if she wasn't on the saddle, atleast she was facing the right way.

And if you're wondering, the saddle blanket is the Texas Flag. Just pointing that out for you....

She held the bunny, gave the donkey a kiss and was loving the goats until one decided to chomp on her finger. She is fine, nothing major, just a little shell shocked I think.

She was great at swinging the lasso around, I think she could make a career out of it.

What a day

I didn't do the dishes. I didn't do the laundry. My dining table is a wreck because I am making and . In an effort to finish these projects I went to the fabric store to pick up some fill. After having the fabric lady cut small pieces of fabric for me, I found I left my wallet at home. Crap.

Went to watch Chloe practice her musical and 2, almost 3 children fainted on stage. Not a good sign for this evening's performance.

Freya was putting the finishing cheese on the top of the casserole. I went to do something or another for a minute. I left her for a bit too long as there was about 2 inches of cheese when I got back.

To add to all of that, Suki ate a loaf of bread that was on the counter. That dog.

Anyway, I am going to go and do the dishes and start the laundry now. Maybe I'll even go back and get the fill for my projects....
